Joe Budden Ready To Drop 4th Album – ‘Rage & The Machine’

As of late Joe Budden has been making headlines for the controversy that surrounds him - most notably his beef with Drake. Being embroiled in so much drama with so many fellow rappers makes it easy to forget that Joe is actually indeed himself a really good rapper – a successful one at that; and what better way is there to remind us of that than by releasing a brand new album.

His soon to be released album is titled Rage & The Machine and is produced by AraabMuzik in its entirety, a good development as these days there are very few albums which are produced one person. This will be Joe’s fourth official studio album in his 15 year music career. Joe went sky diving and talked to Complex about the album explaining that ‘rage’ in the album title refers to him.

As for what to expect on the album Joe said “the music sounds like a chiseled, aged, wise veteran just barring niggas to death.” Joe does have bars but let’s wait and see what he has in store for us. He also confirmed that there will be a sequel to the album title Rage & The Machine 2 which will see him reunite with the man that produced Joe’s biggest hit to date Pump It Up. It should be interesting to see if the two can match the chemistry they had on records they made together back in the day.

Rage & The Machine will feature 11 tracks, 5 of which contain guest appearances including another rap veteran Fabolous who rose to prominence at around the same time as Joe. Another guest feature worth the mention is his Slaughterhouse brother Joell Ortiz. While on the subject of Slaughterhouse Joe revealed that he communicated with Royce Da 5’9” and they have the intention of putting in work on that front. I sure hope that it’s true this time. We’ve waited a while for the next SH project to drop but it seems to be getting less and less likely as time goes by.

Rage & The Machine will be released in a month’s time on the 21st of October 2016. The entire tracklist is below. You can also watch the interview with Complex at the bottom of the page.
